Graduate Project Assistant 2007-2008

Adam left the IGA in July 2008 to work as Systems Co-ordinator at The REACH Centre, Lancaster University. The REACH centre was one of the companies he helped during his internship.

"Working at the KBC for the past 18 months has given my CV a real boost. I have been able to build upon previous skills, whilst having the opportunity to develop new technical and transferable skills which I am looking forward to using in my new position.

"It wouldn't have been possible to develop these skills without the support of the team at KBC. Working with SMEs across the North West of England has given me a great insight into how different businesses work. It has been a pleasure to assist small businesses and observe how the work we have done for them has helped them to grow.

BSc Computer Science (Lancaster University, 2005)

Skills:
XHTML and CSS standards compliant web development;
Developing online applications using PHP/MySQL;
Graphic design skills, including converting image based designs to stylesheets;
Project management tools and techniques, and applying them to projects that I have worked on.

I am currently interested in further developing my web design skills, while also using new and emerging web technologies such as AJAX to enhance the usability of web applications.
