InfoLab21 acts as an innovation hub for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) connecting businesses, researchers, business support agencies and schools across the North West.
In June 2007 the Knowledge Business Centre (KBC) held its first Innovation Exchange where Entrepreneurs and Businesses were invited to come and meet researchers and view demonstrations of the latest projects with a view to collaboration and the progression of taking new technology to market.
The KBC is also an incubator for new start-up technolgy-led businesses facilitating the interaction of local business with researchers in the Computing and Communications Systems departments located in InfoLab21.
